Car
If you are traveling by car, the Château du Rivau is located at 9 Rue du Château, 37120 Lémeré. From Tours, take the A10 highway towards Angers. After approximately 30 km, take exit 25 towards Chinon/Cravant-les-Coteaux. Continue on D751 for about 15 km until you reach Lémeré. Follow the signs to the Château du Rivau, which will be on your left. There is free parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a train from Tours to Chinon. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Chinon station, you can take a local bus (Bus Line 2) towards Lémeré. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Disembark at the 'Château du Rivau' stop, and the entrance is just a short walk away. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as service may be limited on weekends.
Bicycle
Cycling to Château du Rivau can be a delightful experience, especially with the scenic routes available in the Loire Valley. From Tours, you can take the dedicated cycling paths along the Loire River. The ride is approximately 35 km and will take about 2 hours. Follow the D951 from Tours to Chinon, then take the D751 towards Lémeré. There are bike racks available at the château for parking.
