Walking
If you are starting from the Lourdes train station (Gare de Lourdes), exit the station and head towards the main road (Avenue de la Gare). Turn right onto Avenue de la Gare and walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach Place de la République. From there, take a left onto Avenue Jean-Paul II, which will lead you directly towards the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. Continue walking along this road until you see the entrance to the Sanctuary. Once you enter the Sanctuary, follow the signs leading to the Grotto.

Public Transport
If you are at the Lourdes bus station, exit the station and walk towards the nearby bus stop. Look for the bus line that goes to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. Once on the bus, pay attention to the stops and get off at the 'Sanctuaire' stop. From there, follow the signs to the Sanctuary entrance. Upon entering, proceed towards the Grotto following the pathways indicated.

Walking from the Sanctuary
Once you are inside the Sanctuary, head towards the main area known as the Esplanade. You will see the Basilica of St. Pius X in front of you. Walk past the Basilica, and continue towards the Grotto which is well marked. The Grotto is located downstream by the river, and you will see many visitors heading in this direction. The Grotto itself is an open-air site near the riverbank where you can find the famous statue of the Virgin Mary.
