The walk is approximately 10 minutes and is mostly flat.
Public Transport

From the Saint-Malo train station (Gare SNCF), take bus line 1 or 2 towards Intra-Muros. Get off at the 'Intra-Muros' stop, which is located just outside the city walls near Porte Saint-Vincent. Enter the city through Porte Saint-Vincent. Place Chateaubriand is immediately on your left. The bus fare is approximately €2. A taxi from the train station to Porte Saint-Vincent costs approximately €10-15.
Taxi/Ride-Share

From anywhere in Saint-Malo, a taxi or ride-share can take you directly to Porte Saint-Vincent, the main entrance to Intra-Muros. Place Chateaubriand is located immediately inside the gate. A short taxi ride within Saint-Malo typically costs between €8 and €15, depending on the distance and time of day. Note that traffic within Intra-Muros is restricted, so the taxi will drop you off at the entrance.
Driving

If driving, follow signs for Saint-Malo Intra-Muros. Be aware that parking within the walled city is very limited and can be expensive. Consider parking at the Paul Féval park-and-ride outside the walls (€3.30 per day) and taking the free shuttle bus (Ligne 2 or 2EXP) to the Intra-Muros stop. From there, enter through Porte Saint-Vincent; Place Chateaubriand is immediately to your left. Alternatively, the Saint-Vincent underground parking garage is located just outside Porte Saint-Vincent, but it can be costly (€2.60 per hour). Booking online in advance is possible.
