The central part of the structure dates back to the 17th century, named after its first known owner, M. de Moulinvieux. In the 18th century, the estate was expanded, incorporating side extensions, refined interior decorations with paintings, sculptures, and woodwork, and the addition of Our Lady's Chapel and landscaped gardens. The château's architecture showcases a classic Louis XV style, emphasizing symmetry and harmony. The main facade, facing south, features a sundial, while the north side opens onto a terrace with views of the Sarthe countryside. The estate includes a dovecote and gardens with century-old lime trees. Since December 14, 1989, the château and its park have been listed as monuments historiques. While the Château of Moulinvieux is a private property and not generally open for public tours, its impressive exterior can be viewed from the road.
