Abbaye de Trizay: A Romanesque Jewel

The Abbaye de Trizay, nestled in the heart of Saintonge, stands as a remarkable testament to Romanesque architecture and medieval monastic life. The refectory displays a series of naive mythological paintings, likely from the 17th century. The contemporary stained-glass windows by Richard Texier, added in 2003, illuminate the apse.
