Grand Bé: A Tidal Island Steeped in History

Grand Bé, a tidal island located just off the coast of Saint-Malo in Brittany, France, is a destination rich in history and natural beauty. His tomb, marked by a simple cross, is a pilgrimage site for literary admirers. A nearby plaque bears an inscription that captures the essence of his desire: "A great French writer wanted to rest here to hear only the sea and the wind". The island also features the ruins of an old chapel, Notre Dame des Lauriers, which adds to its allure.
