From Tours city center, head to the bus station at 'Gare Routière de Tours'. Take the bus line 10 towards Loches. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the 'Loches' bus station, exit and walk towards the main square. The Royal City of Loches is about a 10-minute walk from the bus station. Head straight on 'Rue de la République', and then take a left on 'Rue de la Cité' which leads you to 'Place Charles VII' where the Royal City is located.

Go to 'Gare de Tours' (the main train station in Tours). Take a train towards 'Châteauroux' and get off at 'Loches' station. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you get off at 'Loches', exit the station and walk towards the center of town. Follow 'Avenue de la Libération' straight ahead, which will take you to 'Place Charles VII'. The Royal City of Loches is situated right at the square.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Tours. Start from 'Place Jean Jaurès' and head towards 'Avenue de la République'. Follow 'D37' towards Loches. It is approximately a 30 km ride that will take around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Loches, head towards the town center and follow signs to 'Place Charles VII' where the Royal City of Loches is located.

For the adventurous, you can walk from Tours to Loches. This is a long trek, about 30 km and will take around 6-7 hours. Start from 'Place Jean Jaurès' in Tours, head south on 'Avenue de la République' towards 'D37'. Follow the path through the countryside until you reach Loches. Once you arrive, head to the center and find 'Place Charles VII' where the Royal City of Loches awaits you.
