Walking
From the Noirmoutier-en-l'Île bus station, the Château de Noirmoutier is a short walk north. Head north on Rue du Général Leclerc, then turn left onto Place de la République. Continue onto Place d'Armes, where the castle is located. The walk is approximately 5 minutes.

Public Transport
The island is served by the Aleop line 13 bus, which connects Nantes to Noirmoutier-en-l'Île. From the Noirmoutier-en-l'Île bus station, the castle is a short walk. Local 'Gratibus' shuttles offer free transport around the northern part of the island during the summer. Line A, B and C all stop at the Gare Routiere (Bus Station). From there it is a short walk to the castle. A single bus fare on line 13 costs approximately €2.

Driving
From the Noirmoutier bridge, follow the D948 into Noirmoutier-en-l'Île. Upon entering the town, follow signs for the town center ('centre-ville'). Parking is available at the Étier du Moulin car park at the entrance of the town, which is free. From April 1st to September 28th, parking in the town center is paid from 10 AM to 8 PM. Parking at Place d'Armes costs approximately €1 per hour. Free parking is available for the first half hour.
