    From the main entrance of the Palace of Versailles, walk towards the Grand Canal. Continue straight along the path towards the Grand Trianon. Once you reach the Grand Trianon, keep walking along the pathway that runs parallel to the canal. After approximately 10 minutes, you'll find a fork in the path; take the left path towards the Dragon Pool. Follow the signs along Avenue de Trianon, and you'll arrive at the Dragon Pool.

    From central Paris, take the RER C train to Versailles Rive Gauche station. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival, follow the signs towards the Palace of Versailles, which is about a 15-minute walk. Enter the gardens and walk towards the Grand Canal, following signs for the Grand Trianon and then the Dragon Pool. Alternatively, take bus line 171 from Porte de Saint-Cloud station in Paris directly to the Palace of Versailles. The bus ride takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Enter through the main gate and walk towards the gardens to find the Dragon Pool. A single RER C ticket from Paris to Versailles costs around €4-5.
