Walking
If starting from the village of Āfareaitu, head towards the main road, Route de l'Opunohu. Walk south until you reach the intersection with Route de Āfareaitu. Turn right and continue, keeping an eye out for signs indicating the path to the waterfall. The hike typically takes 30-45 minutes.
Public Transport
From the Vaiare Ferry Terminal, catch a local 'Le Truck' bus heading towards Āfareaitu. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop for Āfareaitu Waterfall. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the waterfall, a short walk from the main road. Bus fare is approximately 500 XPF.
Taxi
Taxis are available throughout Moorea, including at the ferry terminal and airport. A taxi from the ferry terminal or airport to Āfareaitu will cost approximately 2,000 XPF to 4,000 XPF. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
