Car
If driving from Papeete, head east on Route 1 (the main coastal road) for approximately 30 km. Look for signs indicating Hitiaa O Te Ra and Faaurumai. The blowhole (coordinates FJG5+6RR) is located just off the main road with roadside parking available. Parking is free.
Public Transport
From Papeete, take the bus ('Le Truck') towards Hitiaa O Te Ra. Buses depart regularly from the main bus station in Papeete. Inform the driver you want to stop at Arahoho Blowhole. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. From there, it is a short walk to the blowhole. Bus fare is approximately $1.50 USD.
Taxi
Taxis are available from Papeete. A taxi directly to Arahoho Blowhole will cost between 3,000 to 5,000 XPF (approximately $30 to $50 USD), depending on traffic. Ensure the driver uses the meter or negotiate the fare beforehand.
