Car
From the Vaiare ferry dock, drive approximately 3.5 kilometers north along the main coastal road. The Toatea Lookout will be on your left, just past the Sofitel Ia Ora Moorea Beach Resort. Parking is available at the site. Car rentals are available at the ferry terminal for approximately $30-$50 per day. A taxi from the ferry dock will cost approximately $20-$30.
Public Transport
Take the public bus from the Vaiare ferry dock towards the north of the island. The bus fare is approximately 300 XPF (around $3 USD). Ask the driver to stop at the Toatea Lookout, located near the Sofitel Ia Ora Moorea Beach Resort. Be aware that the bus service may not be very efficient.

Toatea Lookout, also known as To'atea Panoramic Viewpoint, is a well-marked scenic spot located on the coastal road near the Sofitel la Ora Moorea Beach Resort in Moorea-Maiao, French Polynesia. This easily accessible viewpoint provides visitors with breathtaking, picture-postcard views of the island's natural beauty.
From this vantage point, you can admire the vibrant colors of the lagoon, the overwater bungalows of the Sofitel Ia Ora Beach Resort, and the long stretch of white sand that makes up Temae Beach. In the distance, the island of Tahiti appears close, yet feels like another world. The lookout also offers views of the bay of Vaiare. A commemorative stone stands at the site in memory of the victims of the Air Moorea plane crash on August 9, 2007.
