Getting there

Walking

From the Papeete Ferry Terminal, Place To'ata is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Head west along Boulevard Pomare IV, enjoying the waterfront views. You'll pass the Papeete Market and various shops and restaurants. Place To'ata will be on your left, between the Jardins de Paofai and the House of Culture.

Public Transport

Several bus lines connect Papeete's city center to other districts. Check local bus routes for the most convenient option to Place To'ata. Bus fares within Papeete are around 130 XPF (approximately $1.10 USD) until 6 PM and 200 XPF (approximately $1.68 USD) thereafter. Buses stop at official stops marked 'arrêt le bus'.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Papeete. A short taxi ride from the ferry terminal or city center to Place To'ata will cost approximately 1,000 XPF (around $8.40 USD) as a starting price. The fare increases by 160 XPF (around $1.34 USD) per kilometer during the day and 260 XPF (around $2.18 USD) at night. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your trip.

Parking

If driving, parking is available on the street near Place To'ata, but spaces can be scarce, especially during the day. Paid on-street parking costs 100 XPF (approximately $0.84 USD) per hour from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Saturday. Several municipal parking garages are also available, including one under the Hotel de Ville. Parking at the Hotel de Ville costs 100 XPF for the first hour, 100 XPF for each additional half-hour, and 1,000 XPF for the whole day.
