Once hidden by thick vegetation, the area around Vaihi Waterfalls has been transformed by the Tourist Office into a pleasant shaded garden with flowers, shrubs, and fruit trees. The falls themselves are not huge, but they cascade down into the pool from about 20 meters height.The vibrant landscape and crystal-clear waters offer ample opportunities for photography and relaxation. Adventure seekers can explore hiking trails and discover the region's biodiversity. The falls hold cultural significance, with local guides sharing stories and legends. The main waterfall is 10 meters high and drops into a large pool. A short hiking trail leads to two more pools before continuing into the valley, climbing to a plateau with superb views over the lagoon.Vaihi Waterfalls are also considered sacred among Tahitians. Every first Saturday of the month, there's a spiritual washing ceremony.
