Walking
Start from the Akhaltsikhe city center, near the Rabati Castle. Head south on D. Aghmashenebeli Street towards Tsereteli Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the bus station. From there, look for a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Borjomi. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Borjomi, get off at the central bus station. From the bus station, head east on Meskheti Street. After about 500 meters, turn left onto R9F8+QF8, and follow this road for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs for Petre Fortress, which is located on a hilltop. The walk to the fortress from this point will take about 15 minutes.

Start at the Akhaltsikhe central bus station. Take a minibus (marshrutka) that goes to Borjomi. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Borjomi central bus station, exit and walk towards Meskheti Street. After about 500 meters, turn left onto R9F8+QF8. Continue on this road for about 1 kilometer, following the signs for Petre Fortress. The fortress is on a hill and will be visible as you approach. The walk from the bus station to the fortress is approximately 15 minutes.
