  • By Car

    From Khevi, head southwest on the main road (E117). Continue on this road for approximately 40 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Motsameta, where Gelati Monastery is located. As you approach Motsameta, turn onto the Rd to Gelati Monastery. The monastery will be indicated by signs along the way. There is a parking area available near the entrance of the monastery. Note that there may be a small fee for parking.

  • By Public Transportation

    From Khevi, take a marshrutka (minibus) heading to Kutaisi. The ride will take around 1 hour. Ask the driver to drop you off at Motsameta, which is the closest stop to Gelati Monastery. From the bus stop, you can either walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) to the monastery by following the signs or hire a local taxi for a short ride. The taxi fare should be around 5-10 GEL.

  • Walking from Motsameta
