The drive is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions. You will pass through beautiful mountainous terrain and may encounter some unpaved sections, so be cautious. Once you reach Ananuri, look for the signs leading to the fortress area. Parking is available near the site.

To reach Ananuri Fortress Complex by public transport, first take a minibus (marshrutka) from Khevsureti to Tbilisi. The marshrutkas usually depart from the central area of Khevsureti. Once you arrive in Tbilisi, transfer to a minibus heading towards Ananuri. This leg of the journey will take about 1 hour. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they will stop at Ananuri.
