Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards the village of Kushchi. From the center of Khevsureti, take the road leading northeast towards the Khevsureti region. Follow the signs to the village of Barisakho and continue along the main road until you reach Kushchi. The Gagi Fortress is located approximately 5 kilometers from Kushchi. Look for a dirt trail that leads up to the fortress, which is situated at the coordinates 41.3366912 latitude and 44.8839479 longitude. Be cautious, as the road can be rough and may require a 4x4 vehicle. Parking is available near the trailhead.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a minibus (marshrutka) from Tbilisi to Khevsureti. Once you arrive in Khevsureti, you'll need to find local transport options, which may include hiring a taxi or joining a guided tour that can take you to Kushchi. From Kushchi, you will need to walk or hike approximately 5 kilometers to reach Gagi Fortress. Make sure to arrange transportation in advance, as public transport options may be limited.
