Getting There

• Car

  To reach Labarashi Castle by car from the center of Khevsureti, start by heading towards the village of Shatili. Drive along the main road, following signs for Shatili. The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Shatili, continue on the same road until you reach the village of Potskho Etseri. Look for signs indicating the direction to Labarashi Castle. The castle is located at coordinates 42.7490805 latitude and 42.0482558 longitude. You may need to park your car in the village and walk the last stretch, as the roads can get narrow. Ensure to have a GPS or a map application handy to assist with navigation.

  If traveling by public transportation, take a marshrutka (shared minibus) from Tbilisi to Khevsureti, which typically departs from the Didube bus station. Upon arrival in Khevsureti, you will need to take another marshrutka or a taxi to Shatili. Confirm with the driver that they will stop at the village of Potskho Etseri. Once in Potskho Etseri, you may need to hire a local guide or taxi to reach Labarashi Castle directly, as public transport does not reach the castle itself. Be prepared for some walking.
