Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major town, Kazbegi (Stepantsminda). Head south on the main road (Sh2) toward Tbilisi. After about 20 kilometers, turn onto the road to Khevsureti. Follow the signs toward Shatili, which will lead you through beautiful mountainous terrain. After about 30 kilometers, you will reach the village of Shatili. From Shatili, continue on the dirt road for about 7 kilometers until you reach Leghvtakhevi Canyon. Parking is available near the canyon entrance.

If you prefer public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Tbilisi to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda). The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. Once in Kazbegi, find a marshrutka heading toward Shatili. The ride from Kazbegi to Shatili takes roughly 1 hour. Upon arriving in Shatili, you will need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a guide to take you to Leghvtakhevi Canyon, which is about 7 kilometers away and may cost around 15-20 GEL.
