Getting there

Funicular

The most iconic way to reach Mtatsminda View Point is via the Tbilisi Funicular. Start at the lower station near Rustaveli Avenue. Purchase a Mtatsminda card for 2 GEL and load it with enough credit for a one-way trip, which costs 10 GEL. The ride takes about 8 minutes and stops at the Mtatsminda Pantheon. Stay on until the final stop at the upper station, which is inside the Funicular Complex. From there, the viewpoint is a short walk. A one way trip will cost 10 GEL.

Cable Car

Another scenic option is the Rustaveli-Mtatsminda Cable Car, which starts near Radisson Blu Tbilisi. A one-way ticket costs 12 GEL. The ride ascends to Mtatsminda Park, where the viewpoint is located. This cable car offers a quick, approximately 5 minute, and visually stunning route to the summit.

Bus

For a budget-friendly option, take bus #390 from Freedom Square. The ride takes about 50 minutes, depending on traffic, and terminates near the main entrance of Mtatsminda Park. The fare is 1 GEL. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the viewpoint.

Taxi/Ride-Share

A taxi or ride-share from Freedom Square to Mtatsminda costs around 20 GEL. Specify 'Mtatsminda Park' as your destination. From the park entrance, the viewpoint is easily accessible by foot. Be sure to use a ride-sharing app like Bolt for reliable pricing.

Driving

If driving, follow signs to Mtatsminda Park from Tbilisi. Parking is available at the park. Be aware that on weekends and holidays, parking may be limited. Parking is free.

Mtatsminda View Point, crowning the summit of Mtatsminda Mountain (also known as Holy Mountain), offers the most iconic panoramic views of Tbilisi. Though plans for an 'Upper Tbilisi' never materialized, the area was transformed into a landscaped park in the late 1930s.Today, Mtatsminda Park features an amusement park with a Ferris wheel, roller coasters, and water slides. The iconic Tbilisi TV Tower stands nearby. Visitors can explore the Mtatsminda Pantheon, the final resting place of many of Georgia's most celebrated figures. The park also offers restaurants, cafes, and relaxation areas.Whether arriving by foot, funicular, or car, the Mtatsminda View Point promises an unforgettable experience, blending natural beauty, historical significance, and captivating views of Tbilisi.
