Walking
From the center of Mtskheta, head south on Shota Rustaveli Street toward the Mtkvari River. Continue straight until you reach the riverbank. Once you reach the river, turn left and follow the path along the river for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Tbilisi. As you approach the end of the river path, you will enter the Tbilisi area. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rustaveli Avenue. Turn right onto Rustaveli Avenue, and follow it for about 1 kilometer until you reach the area known as Old Tbilisi. Keep an eye out for the mountain in the distance, which is where the Mtatsminda Pantheon is located. From here, head toward the base of Mtatsminda Park, which is accessible via a steep upward path or the funicular railway if you're looking for a more relaxed ascent.
Public Transport
From Mtskheta, head to the main bus station located near the town center. Look for minibus number 37, which travels directly to Tbilisi. Board the minibus and enjoy the ride; it will take about 30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Tbilisi, get off at the stop near Rustaveli Avenue. From there, you can either walk up to Mtatsminda Park or take the funicular railway from the base of the hill. If walking, head towards the mountain and follow the signs directing you to Mtatsminda Park. If you prefer the funicular, walk to the entrance located on Rustaveli Avenue, purchase a ticket, and enjoy the ride up to the Mtatsminda Pantheon.
