From Rabati Castle, head southwest on the main road (E691) towards Abastumani. Follow E691 for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the town of Abastumani. Once in Abastumani, look for signs directing you to the Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory. The observatory is located at Abastumani-Kanobili, Abastumani 0301. Parking is available near the entrance. Note that the entrance ticket to the observatory is 10 GEL.

From Rabati Castle, walk to the nearest main road to catch a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Akhaltsikhe. Once you reach the Akhaltsikhe bus station, transfer to another marshrutka that goes to Abastumani. The journey will take about 1 to 1.5 hours total.
