    From Rabun Bald, head south on Rabun Bald Road toward US-441 S. Turn right onto US-441 S and continue for approximately 15 miles. Take the exit for GA-15 S toward Clarkesville. Merge onto GA-15 S and follow it for about 30 miles. When you reach the junction, continue on GA-15 S until you reach the town of Cornelia. From Cornelia, follow signs for US-441 S into South Carolina, and then take SC-11 N into Georgia. Finally, follow GA-15 S to the town of Gogasheni, where Vardzia is located. Vardzia will be on your left. Make sure to have cash handy for any potential tolls along the route.

    From Rabun Bald, the nearest public transportation option is the Rabun County Transit. You can catch a bus from the nearest stop in Clayton. Board the bus that goes towards Cornelia.
