The journey to Instra Waterfall begins from Chkvaleri village, following a circular path that extends for about 7.5 km (approximately 4.7 miles) and takes about 2-3 hours to complete. The trail initially follows a dirt road, leading into a forested valley with clear signage. The path is relatively straightforward, with the final hundred meters involving a steeper slope and large boulders. As you approach the waterfall, the sounds of cascading water grow louder, and the air becomes cooler and fresher. The waterfall itself is enveloped in verdant foliage and moss-covered rocks. Ask the driver to take you to the trailhead at P3CV+572, Chkvaleri. Parking is available near the trailhead. Negotiate the fare before starting the trip.

    Public Transport

    From Zugdidi, take a marshrutka (minibus) to Jvari. Marshrutkas to Jvari depart from the bus station near the bridge at Zugdidi Bazar. The marshrutka ride to Jvari takes approximately 1 hour. From Jvari, hire a taxi to Chkvaleri for around 20 GEL. The trailhead is located at P3CV+572, Chkvaleri.
