Public Transport
To reach Avranlo Megalithic Fortress via public transport, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Tbilisi to Tsalka. From Tsalka, take another marshrutka to the village of Avranlo. Marshrutkas from Tbilisi to Tsalka typically cost around 5-7 GEL. The fare from Tsalka to Avranlo is approximately 1-2 GEL. Once in Avranlo, ask locals for directions to the fortress, which is a short walk from the village center.
Car
If traveling by car from Tbilisi, take the E60 highway towards Gori. From Gori, continue south and take the exit towards Avranlo. Follow the signs to Avranlo village. Once you reach Avranlo, the fortress is a short distance from the village center. Parking is available near the village center. Be aware that the road to the fortress might be challenging in adverse weather conditions.
Walking
If you are already in Avranlo village, the fortress is within walking distance. From the village center, head towards the hills following the footpaths or local signs. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your pace. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain may be uneven.
