Car
If traveling by car from Akhaltsikhe, head northeast on the E60 highway towards Tbilisi for approximately 45 km. Take the exit towards Dmanisi (G33W+7CG) at the junction near Dmanisi. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you reach the Black Lake area. Parking is available near the lake. Note that road conditions can vary, and an off-road vehicle may be beneficial for the final stretch.
Public Transport
To reach Black Lake by public transport, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Akhaltsikhe to Tbilisi. At the Tbilisi bus station, transfer to a marshrutka heading towards Dmanisi. Confirm with the driver that the marshrutka will stop near Black Lake. The journey may take approximately 2-3 hours. After disembarking in Dmanisi, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Black Lake, which is about 10 km away. A taxi from Dmanisi to Black Lake should cost approximately 15-25 GEL.
