From the center of Chiatura, the cross is accessible by road, though the final section can be quite bumpy. Walking from the city center is possible, but it's a significant uphill trek of approximately 2-3 kilometers. Follow the main road leading south, keeping the Kvirila River to your left. As you ascend, the cross will become visible, guiding your way. Be prepared for a steep incline and allow at least 1 hour for a leisurely walk. There are no entrance fees or tolls for accessing the Chiatura Cross.
Taxi/Car
Taxis are available in Chiatura and can take you directly to the Chiatura Cross. Negotiate the fare beforehand, as meters are not commonly used. A typical one-way trip from the city center should cost around 5-10 GEL, depending on your bargaining skills and the driver. Alternatively, if you have your own vehicle, you can drive to the cross. Be aware that the road is paved for most of the way, but the last section leading directly to the cross can be rough and bumpy. Parking is free and available near the site.
