Public Transportation

To reach Uplistsikhe using public transportation, first take a marshrutka (minibus) from Gori to the nearby village of Kvakhvreli. Marshrutkas leave from Gori's central bus station regularly. Once you arrive in Kvakhvreli, you can either walk (about 2 km) to Uplistsikhe, or you might find local taxis that can take you directly to the entrance for a small fee (approximately 5-10 GEL).
