Car
From Vardzia, head north on the main road (E117). Continue for approximately 8 kilometers until you reach the village of Gogasheni. Look for the sign indicating Chachkari. Turn left onto the gravel road and drive for about 1 kilometer, where you will find Chachkari on your right. There is no entrance fee, but parking may be limited, so arrive early if possible.

Public Transportation
To reach Chachkari via public transport, start at the central bus station in Vardzia. Look for marshrutkas (minibuses) heading towards Gogasheni. The journey will take about 20 minutes. Disembark at the Gogasheni stop, which is near the village center. From there, it’s a short walk (about 1 kilometer) to Chachkari. Follow the main road and look for signs directing you to the site. Note that marshrutkas operate intermittently, so be sure to check the schedule.

Walking
If you prefer walking and are staying in Vardzia, you can hike to Chachkari. Starting from the entrance of the Vardzia cave complex, walk north on the main road. After about 8 kilometers, you’ll reach Gogasheni. From there, continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer along the gravel road towards Chachkari. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as it can get hot during the day.
