Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the center of Vardzia, head southwest on the main road (E117) towards Mirashkhani. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see signs for Valodias Cottages on your right. The cottages are located near the village of Mirashkhani. Make sure to follow the signage carefully, as some parts of the road may not be well marked.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Valodias Cottages by public transportation, start at the Vardzia bus station. Look for a minibus heading towards Mirashkhani. The fare is typically around 1 GEL. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to Valodias Cottages, which should be near the entrance to the village. From there, it’s a short walk (about 500 meters) to the cottages. Be sure to confirm with the driver that they will stop near the cottages, as some routes may vary.

• Walking

  If you are already in Vardzia and prefer to walk, exit the main complex and head southwest along the main road (E117). Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach Mirashkhani. Look for signage indicating Valodias Cottages on your right. The walk should take about 30 to 40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for some uneven terrain along the way.
