Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Aachen Cathedral (Aachener Dom), a famous landmark in the city. From the Cathedral, head west on Breuerstraße for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Adalbertstraße. Turn left onto Adalbertstraße and continue straight for about 500 meters. You will reach a roundabout; take the first exit onto Wilhelmstraße. Continue straight for another 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Schanzstraße. Turn right onto Schanzstraße, and after about 200 meters, you will arrive at the City Wall.

  • Public Transport

    From the Aachen Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take bus line 1 towards 'Aachen, Nirmannstraße'. Ride for 5 stops and get off at 'Aachen, Adalbertstraße'. From there, continue walking straight down Adalbertstraße for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Wilhelmstraße, and after 400 meters, turn right onto Schanzstraße. Walk another 200 meters to reach the City Wall.
