Walking
From the Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station, follow Bahnhofstraße south, then turn left onto Chamonixstraße. Continue onto Promenadestraße, cross the Loisach River, and turn right onto Ludwigstraße. The Historische Ludwigstraße will be on your left. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes.
Public Transport
From the Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station, take bus lines 3, 4, or 5 towards Partenkirchen. Get off at the Marienplatz stop, which is directly on Ludwigstraße. The bus fare is approximately €1.50 per trip.
Taxi
A taxi from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station to the Historische Ludwigstraße takes approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxi ranks are located outside the train station. The estimated fare is between €10-€15.
Parking
Several parking options are available near Ludwigstraße. The Tiefgarage Badgasse (P13) is located just off Ludwigstraße and offers hourly and daily rates. The first 2 hours are free, then each additional half hour costs €1.00, with a daily maximum of €5.00. Rathausplatz (P12) is also nearby and within walking distance to the historic street. Parking garages are a few minutes' walk from the Garmisch pedestrian zone.
