Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, head towards Munich. Use the A9 or A93 highways to reach the city. Once in Munich, follow the signs towards the city center (Zentrum). Take the exit for B2R, and continue following the signs for Schwanthalerhöhe. Park at the nearby Theresienwiese parking garage, which is about a 10-minute walk from the Bavaria Statue. From the garage, walk west on Widenmayerstraße, then turn left onto Theresienhöhe, and continue straight until you see the statue.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Bavaria Statue using public transport, take the U-Bahn (subway) to the Theresienwiese station, which is on the U4 and U5 lines. Upon exiting the station, you will see the Theresienwiese grounds. Walk towards the large statue, which is located just a short distance away. The journey from the central train station (Hauptbahnhof) to Theresienwiese takes about 10 minutes. Make sure to purchase a single ticket (around €2.90) for a one-way trip.
