Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Munich city center. Use the A9 and then the A93, following signs for 'Zentrum.' Once in Munich, follow signs for 'Englischer Garten.' You can park at the nearby parking lots such as 'Theresienwiese' or 'Biergarten am Chinesischen Turm' for approximately €2 per hour.
Public Transportation - Tram
If you prefer public transportation, take Tram Line 19 from Altbayern towards 'St. Emmeram.' Get off at the 'Chinesischer Turm' stop. The English Garden is a short 10-minute walk from there. Follow the signs towards the park entrance.
Public Transportation - U-Bahn
Another option is to take the U-Bahn (subway). From any location in Altbayern, find the nearest U-Bahn station and take Line U6 towards 'Giesing.' Change at 'Sendlinger Tor' to Line U2 towards 'Messestadt Ost.' Get off at 'Universität' station. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the English Garden. Follow 'Ludwigstraße' and then 'Alfons-Goppel-Straße' to enter the park.
Public Transportation - Bus
You can also use the bus service. Catch Bus 100 from various points in Altbayern heading towards 'Hauptbahnhof.' Change at 'Hauptbahnhof' and take Bus 54 towards 'Biergarten Chinesischer Turm.' Disembark at 'Chinesischer Turm,' and you'll find the English Garden just a short distance away. The bus fare is approximately €2.90 for a single journey.
