Discover more about Berlin Icebar

The Berlin Icebar offers a unique and chilling experience in the heart of Berlin's Mitte district. Upon entering, you're transported back to 1869 Bremerhaven, joining the crew of the Hansa, a research ship from the Second German North Polar Expedition. You'll receive a Seaman's Book as you prepare to embark on a polar expedition. The experience begins in a traditionally decorated tavern where you receive your first included drink. Then, you'll be outfitted with a warm coat and gloves to prepare you for the -10°C ice bar. Everything inside, from the walls and sculptures to the glasses, is crafted from ice. Marvel at frozen polar bears, sculptures of King Wilhelm I, and other icy art installations. The ice sculptures are ever-changing, providing something new to discover on repeat visits. The Berlin Icebar used 40,000 kilos of ice to create the incredible pieces on display. The original Hansa crew was forced to survive an entire winter on an ice floe with limited supplies and under threat from polar bears. Luckily, the Berlin Icebar isn't quite that extreme of an adventure. The experience lasts approximately 45 minutes.
