Discover more about ORANGERIE CHARLOTTENBURG | spaces mgt GmbH

The Orangerie Charlottenburg is a captivating venue that blends historical significance with natural beauty. Originally constructed in the early 18th century (1709-1712) under the direction of Eosander von Göthe, it mirrored the style of Versailles and served as a winter refuge for the Charlottenburg Palace's non-hardy plants, including orange, lemon, and pommeranze trees. During the warmer months, the Orangerie was used for court festivities. Damaged during World War II, the Orangerie was meticulously restored, including Peter Schubert's abstract ceiling painting in the central pavilion in 1977. Today, the Orangerie hosts various events, including concerts, corporate events, and galas. Its stunning architecture, featuring a glass façade, provides views of the surrounding gardens. The Orangerie is composed of the West Wing, the East Wing, and the Rotunda, and all parts of the Orangerie are wheelchair accessible. The West and East Wings each span 448 square meters with 6.5-meter-high ceilings and can accommodate up to 500 people. The Rotunda measures 260 square meters with an 8.5-meter ceiling and can host 150 people. The terrace offers 2,000 square meters of space.
