If you are near the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), walk to the 'Dom/Hbf' tram station, which is right next to the cathedral. Take tram line 5 (direction: Merkenich) or tram line 16 (direction: Bonn) and get off at the 'Heumarkt' stop. From there, walk straight for about 5 minutes; you will pass the Old Town (Altstadt) and see Roncalliplatz on your left, right in front of the Cathedral.
