Getting There

Train
If you are starting from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (Düsseldorf Central Station), take the RE or IC train towards Köln (Cologne). The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Köln Hauptbahnhof, exit the train station and follow the signs towards the city center. Walk straight for about 10 minutes along the Bahnhofstraße until you reach Kardinal-Höffner-Platz 1.

From the Düsseldorf city center, you can take Tram Line U74 or U76 from the Heinrich-Heine-Allee stop. Travel towards the 'Köln' direction. After approximately 35 minutes, you will arrive at the 'Köln Heumarkt' stop. From there, walk about 5 minutes to Kardinal-Höffner-Platz 1, heading towards the south along the Heumarkt street.

You can take a bus from Düsseldorf city center. Board Bus Line 721 at the 'Düsseldorf Hbf' stop, heading towards 'Köln'. The bus ride will take about 45 minutes. Get off at the 'Köln Heumarkt' stop. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to Kardinal-Höffner-Platz 1. Just head south along the Heumarkt street.

If you are already in Düsseldorf and want to enjoy a scenic walk, start at the Rhine River promenade. Walk along the Rhine towards the south for about 2 kilometers until you reach the 'Köln' sign, then cross the bridge. Once you reach Köln, continue walking straight until you reach Kardinal-Höffner-Platz 1. The total walking time is around 30-40 minutes.
