Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in the central part of Cologne, you can easily walk to Tierbrunnen. Start at the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), which is a prominent landmark. From the Cathedral, head southwest towards the Alter Markt (Old Market). When you reach Alter Markt, continue walking towards the Heumarkt square. From Heumarkt, proceed to the street called An Groß St. Martin. The Tierbrunnen is located at An Groß St. Martin 3-4, which is just a short walk from Heumarkt. Keep an eye out for the fountain, which is a notable piece of art by Theo Heiermann and Elmar Hillebrand.

• Public Transport

  To reach Tierbrunnen using public transport, start by heading to the nearest U-Bahn (subway) station, which is 'Heumarkt' station. You can take the U-Bahn line 1 or 9 to Heumarkt from various locations in Cologne. Once you exit the Heumarkt station, head towards the Heumarkt square. After that, walk to An Groß St. Martin street, which is just a couple of minutes away. The Tierbrunnen is located at An Groß St. Martin 3-4, easily visible from the street.
