Getting There

  • Train

    From Düsseldorf Central Station (Düsseldorf Hbf), take the RE 1 (Regional Express) train towards Köln Hbf (Cologne Central Station). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Köln Hbf, follow the signs for the underground tram station.

  • Tram

    At Köln Hbf, take the tram line 18 towards Bonn, and get off at the stop named 'Zoo / Flora'. The tram ride will take about 10 minutes. After getting off, you will see the entrance to the Cologne Zoological Garden (Kölner Zoo) directly in front of you.

  • Walk

    If you prefer to walk from Köln Hbf, exit the train station and head straight down the Bahnhofstraße until you reach the Rhine River. Turn left and walk along the riverbank for about 1.5 km. You will come across the beautiful Flora Botanical Garden. The zoo entrance is adjacent to the botanical garden, on Riehler Str. 173.
