Public Transport
Start at Erfurt main train station (Erfurt Hauptbahnhof). Take tram line 1 or 3 towards the direction of 'Bischleben'. Get off at the stop 'Anger'. From Anger, switch to bus line 6 towards 'Weimar'. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at 'Weimar, Bahnhof'. From the bus stop, walk towards the direction of the historic cemetery (Historischer Friedhof). It is around a 10-minute walk. Head south on Bahnhofstraße, then turn left onto Am Poseckschen Garten, where you will find the Weimarer Fürstengruft.

If you're near the city center of Erfurt, you can also walk to the bus station at Anger, which is about a 10-minute walk from the center. From there, follow the public transport instructions above. Alternatively, if you prefer to walk directly to Weimar, it's about a 25 km distance and would take approximately 5 hours. Follow the main roads north out of Erfurt and towards Weimar, but this is not recommended for most tourists.
