Public Transport
From Nuremberg, take the Gräfenbergbahn (R21) to Gräfenberg. From the Gräfenberg train station, it's a short walk (approximately 10-15 minutes) to Marktplatz, the central square. From there, follow the signs for the Fünf-Seidla-Steig to connect to the trail. A VGN single ticket from Nuremberg to Gräfenberg costs approximately €6-8. Alternatively, buses 226 and 229 serve the Thuisbrunn Zehntscheune bus stop, allowing access to other points along the trail. Please note that line 226 at some times of the day operates as a call-and-collect taxi service. Passengers have to announce their request in advance – at least up to one hour before the scheduled time or a day before.
Driving
From Nuremberg, take the B2 towards Gräfenberg. Parking is available in Gräfenberg, with several hike car parks along the route. From the south (Nuremberg) or north (Bayreuth) you will travel by the federal road “Bundesstraße” B2. Parking spaces are available along the route at different hike car parks. Parking fees are generally free, but availability may be limited during peak season. From the parking areas, follow the signs to connect to the Fünf-Seidla-Steig.
