The hotel is situated in the heart of the Plönlein. Note that the area is pedestrian-friendly, with cobblestone streets. If arriving from one of the parking lots outside the city walls (P1-P5), follow the signs towards the city center and Plönlein. P1 is the closest parking to Plönlein.
Public Transport
If arriving by train at Rothenburg ob der Tauber station, it's approximately a 15-minute walk (1.1 km) to Glocke A. u. K. Thürauf. Exit the station and follow the signs towards the old town (Altstadt). Walk straight along Ansbacher Straße, which turns into Galgengasse as you enter the city walls. Continue straight until you reach Marktplatz, then follow the walking directions above to Plönlein. There are no additional costs involved in this final approach.
Driving
If driving, be aware that the old town of Rothenburg is a pedestrian zone with limited access for vehicles. As a hotel guest, you have the privilege of driving to the hotel to drop off luggage. Contact the hotel in advance to arrange access and inquire about parking options. The closest parking lots are P1 (Friedrich-Hörner-Weg) and P2 (Nördlinger Straße) at the Spital gate. Parking costs approximately €6 per day outside the walls. Some parking spaces inside the old town are Kurzzeit Parkplätze, allowing a maximum of two hours per day between 8:00 and 20:00 (€2 per hour).
