Train
Start at Freiburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Purchase a ticket to Triberg at the ticket counter or machine. Board the train heading towards Offenburg and get off at Triberg station. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. From the Triberg station, follow the signs to the exit. Once outside, turn left onto Bahnhofstraße, continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach Wallfahrtstraße. Turn right onto Wallfahrtstraße and walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the Triberg Waterfalls at Wallfahrtstraße 4.
Bus
Head to the nearest bus stop in Freiburg and take bus line 720 or 721 towards Triberg. Ensure the bus is heading towards Triberg and check the schedule for departure times. The bus ride will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Triberg bus stop, walk straight ahead on the main road (B500) towards Wallfahrtstraße. After a short distance, turn left onto Wallfahrtstraße and continue walking for about 1 kilometer to reach the Triberg Waterfalls at Wallfahrtstraße 4.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Freiburg. Start at the city center and head towards the B31 road. Follow the signs for the bike route towards Triberg. The journey is approximately 22 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Triberg, follow the signs to Wallfahrtstraße. The Triberg Waterfalls are located at Wallfahrtstraße 4.
Walking
For adventurous tourists, you can take a long hike from Freiburg to Triberg. Start at the city center and follow hiking trails that lead towards the Schwarzwald region. It is a challenging hike of approximately 20 kilometers and will take around 5-6 hours, so make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and carry water. Upon reaching Triberg, head towards Wallfahrtstraße and walk for about 1 kilometer to find the Triberg Waterfalls at Wallfahrtstraße 4.
