If you're driving, head towards Wernigerode, a town that's a good base for reaching the Brocken. From Wernigerode, follow signs for the B244 road towards Brocken. Continue on the B244 until you reach the parking area at Torfhaus, which is about 19 kilometers from Wernigerode. Note that parking fees apply, typically around €5 per day. From Torfhaus, you can choose to hike or take the Brockenbahn (a steam train) to reach the summit.

To reach Sendeturm Brocken using public transport, start by taking a train from Wernigerode to the nearest station, which is Drei Annen Hohne. Check the timetable for the Harz Narrow Gauge Railway, as trains run regularly. Once you arrive at Drei Annen Hohne, transfer to the Brockenbahn. This scenic steam train ride will take you directly to the summit of the Brocken. A round trip ticket costs approximately €30 for adults and €15 for children. Make sure to check the schedule ahead of your visit.
