If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Harz and head towards Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Use the B241 road and follow the signs for Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Continue on B241 until you reach the town. Once you are in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, look for the signs to the Upper Harz Mining Museum, which is located at Oberharzer Bergwerksmuseum, 38678 Clausthal-Zellerfeld. There is parking available near the museum. Please note that there may be parking fees, so be prepared with some change.

To reach the Upper Harz Mining Museum via public transportation, take a train to the nearest major station, which is in Goslar. From Goslar, you can take a regional bus (Bus number 820) towards Clausthal-Zellerfeld. The bus will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Oberharzer Bergwerksmuseum' stop, which is directly outside the museum. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance for return times. A single bus fare is usually around €2.50-€3.50.
