Walking
From the center of Elend, follow the signs towards the Scherstorklippen. The hike is approximately 2 km and takes around 45 minutes to an hour. The path is well-marked, passing through the Elendstal valley and gradually ascending into the forest. Look for the Gasthaus 'Zur Klippe' near the trailhead. From there, follow the signs to Mäuseklippe, which is along the way to Scherstorklippen. No special transport or tolls are required.

Take bus 264 from either Wernigerode or Braunlage to the 'Elend, Kirche' stop. From there, follow the walking directions above to reach the Scherstorklippen.
