Walking
If you are starting from Heidelberg's main train station (Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head towards the main street, Bismarckstraße. Walk straight along Bismarckstraße for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the pedestrian zone. Turn left onto Hauptstraße. Continue walking straight; you will pass many shops and cafés. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the Old Market (Alter Markt). Look for the large square surrounded by historical buildings. The Old Market is located at Alter Markt 18.

Public Transport - Tram
From Heidelberg's main train station (Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof), take the tram line 5 in the direction of Heidelberg, Alte Eppelheimer Straße. Get off at the stop 'Bergheimer Straße'. From there, walk straight along Bergheimer Straße for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Hauptstraße. Turn right onto Hauptstraße and continue walking straight for approximately 400 meters. The Old Market (Alter Markt) will be on your left, marked by the large square.

Walking from Philosophenweg
If you are coming from the Philosophenweg, head down the hill towards the city center. Follow the path that leads to the Alte Brücke (Old Bridge). Cross the bridge and walk straight along Untere Neckarstraße until you reach the intersection with Hauptstraße. Turn left onto Hauptstraße and continue for about 500 meters. The Old Market (Alter Markt) will be on your right, just before the historic buildings.
