    Start at the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). From there, take the tram line 5 towards 'Heidelberg, Alte Universität'. Get off at the 'Heidelberg, Bismarckplatz' stop. From Bismarckplatz, walk towards the Philosophenweg (Philosopher's Walk). Follow the signs for the Philosophenweg, which leads you uphill. Stay on this path, which offers a scenic view of the city and the Neckar River. Continue walking for about 20 minutes until you reach the Riesenstein.

    If you are starting from the Old Town (Altstadt), head towards the Neckar River and find the Philosophenweg trailhead near the Old Bridge (Alte Brücke). Follow the path up the hill on the Philosophenweg. It's a steep but rewarding hike that takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.
